Creative Lounge: October Book Nook

A skeleton dances next to Lemony Snicket's The Dark

Have you visited the Creative Lounge? It’s a space where you can read, relax, reset, rejuvenate, create and lounge. It’s where you give your brain a break and find inspiration. Where a monthly curated book selection covers you like a weighted blanket. It’s a key part of our arts center, open to all and curated with creativity in mind.

It’s also like a pop-up library, featuring art-focused books alongside monthly themed handmade decorations and art.

A copy of Edith Head's Hollywood

This month we’re getting in the Halloween spirit with our selection of children’s books featuring monsters, creatures and even the dark! There’s a skeleton that has become quite cozy in the Creative Lounge this month, along with paper cutouts of creepy crawlers for a spooktacular setting!

Did you visit the Edith Head: Hollywood’s Costume Designer exhibit at OKCMOA? Even though it has come to an end, we still have fashion on our minds and a special selection of fashion-forward books inspired by the iconic designer.

Whether you’re looking for seasonal inspiration or to spend time with a favorite artist, the Creative Lounge is the place to be this fall.
