Draw your own unique creation with Camp Contemporary instructor Danny Gordon

Camp-in-Place #AtHomeArt projects from Camp Contemporary instructors and Youth and Family staff. Sponsored by SONIC Drive-In.
Campers, to your pillow forts — it's time for another installment of Camp-in-Place! Now that you and your young ones have made your own natural dyes, learned the basics of improv theater and explored the colors of the rainbow, Camp Contemporary instructor Danny Gordon is here to teach you how to create your own cartoon characters in the latest episode in his Drawing with Danny series.
There's just one catch. The traits of your character will be determined by three spins of a wheel. (Those of you playing along at home could pull the traits from a bowl of ideas, perhaps.) From there, Danny will teach you how to move from conceptual sketches to color composition and into the final stages to learn how it all works together. Kids who attend his sold-out camp in person (currently scheduled for Aug. 3-7) will receive a T-shirt featuring their own custom character.
As always, be sure to share your creations with us on social media using the #AtHomeArt hashtag!
