Join us for a two-day, hands-on workshop as we dive into the topic of Raku ceramics. Together, we'll explore traditional Japanese Raku as it relates to religious and cultural practices and its later expression among American ceramicists in the mid-1900s. During the first workshop session, you'll use hand building techniques to create tea bowls. We'll meet the following weekend to glaze and fire your works using the Raku process.

This in-person workshop will take place outside and the Raku process can be messy, so dress accordingly. Open to students of all levels. All materials and tools are included.

Make a ceramic pie plate because you and your pie deserve better than tin foil because everybody knows foil is what you wear on your head when you don’t want the aliens to find you.

No ceramic (or alien) experience necessary. Pick up your fired and finished pie plate about a week later. Don’t worry, we will call you when it’s ready.

No experience necessary. Learn techniques for sketching in an urban environment. You'll strengthen your observational skills and learn to use drawings as a way to document your travel adventures or simply see and appreciate your home town in a new way. Let's get out in the city and sketch!

We can’t promise helpful advice from a psychic, but we do think you and your companion will have a great time learning to use the potter’s wheel and making a small bowl. No experience necessary!

Bring a date, bring a friend, bring anyone you want as long as that person is alive.

The purchase price is for TWO spots. So couples only need to buy one ticket.

Explore printmaking, model making, paper marbling, faux finishes, zine-making and artificial lighting with architect and artist Aaron Jones.

Aaron Jones is a Tulsa-based mixed media artist and registered architect who develops pop-up theaters and performance art installations. He collaborates with creative professionals and organizations around the world. His artwork and architecture mix science fiction, faux finishes, soundscapes all while creating a sense of place.

Also, he's really fun to hang around.

Jones' work has been recognized and supported by Art Omi, the MacDowell Colony, Venice Architecture Biennale, Art Papers, The National Endowment for the Arts, and Cranbrook Academy of Art, among others.

He is a partner at PfeiferJones in Tulsa.

Second problem: trying to thread a needle and then push that needle through popcorn which makes a terrible styrofoam-against-styrofoam sound which might cause you to drop the needle and stab yourself in the thigh. Third problem: stabbed thigh.

Instead, felt a garland! Drape these festive balls around Christmas trees, banisters, mantles, your dog or cat, your or partner or wannabe partner—anyone or anything that needs some holiday cheer.
