Class

Four-Week Class | Upcycled Jackets

Work with fashion designer and House of Northbrook creator Iman Knox to design and sew a custom jacket from upcycled fabric. Iman will provide a custom pattern that you will adapt to fit your style and your body. Iman’s priority is that you be you — so, flowy or tailored, long or short, shaggy or sharp, she’ll help you create a jacket that shifts your world and your closet.

The puffer jacket in the picture used to be a comforter! WHAT?! I KNOW! SHE'S AMAZING!

Jackets will be machine sewn. You don’t need any tailoring skills — if you can thread your sewing machine, you’re ready for this class. If you don’t own a sewing machine, you can rent one through Studio School on the first day of class. Daily rentals are $12. Four-week rentals are $40, and eight-week rentals are $80.

You can find the syllabus here.

Open Studio time is included with registration. Open Studio allows currently enrolled students to work on their projects in Oklahoma Contemporary’s studios outside of class meetings. Availability varies weekly. After registration, you'll receive a link to access the Open Studio calendars.
