Amy Denise Young (she/her/they/them) is a textile artist from Shawnee, Oklahoma currently living in Oklahoma City. She received her BFA from University of Central Oklahoma and their MFA from Colorado State University. Her work utilizes unconventional material to create weavings and tapestries. Young’s practice explores the boundaries of weaving as a structural material and the complexities of queer adolescent development. When they're not working; they're thrifting, watching horror films, or cuddling with their cats.
