Amber Layne

Amber Layne

Amber Layne is transforming sewing education. Her unique linear curriculum, created from more than two decades of professional experience, inspires a love of sewing and provides unparalleled training in sewing, serging, embroidery, and garment construction. As a certificated sewing machine mechanic, Amber teaches her students to understand and harness the technical capabilities of their machines. Through her website, Amber teaches across the globe and offers extensive resources with proven results. Her students have created costumes for Las Vegas shows, Broadway and off-Broadway productions, built costuming, tailoring, and dance wear businesses, won awards for quilting, and organized grass-roots efforts to teach women in underprivileged countries how to sew. Amber's teaching approach is distinguished by the high level of service and support she provides to her students, and the deep desire to create beauty in the world, make people's lives better, and to love life and others with abandon.
