Femme Film is a monthly program that screens movies made by femmes to the Oklahoma community for free. We use “femme” as an umbrella term used to describe individuals targeted by sexism and misogyny, including but not limited to woman, non-binary, trans and genderqueer individuals.
Femme Film was started in September 2020 by Paris Burris, a filmmaker and film programmer in her hometown of Oklahoma City. Along with running Femme Film, Paris is also a short film programmer for the Oscar-qualifying deadCenter Film Festival. She loves making independent films with her friends and is an unabashed cinephile who loves discovering and sharing underseen films.
