Art Teacher Professional Development

Join us for a dynamic and inspiring professional development day designed specifically for art teachers! This comprehensive workshop will feature two engaging sessions.
Wet Felting Workshop: Discover the fascinating art of wet felting in this hands-on workshop. Learn techniques for creating beautiful, textured felt pieces using wool, water and soap. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, this session will provide you with the skills and confidence to incorporate wet felting into your classroom curriculum.
Teaching the Creative Process in Your Classroom Workshop: Enhance your teaching methods with innovative strategies for guiding students through the creative process. This workshop will explore ways to foster creativity, encourage experimentation and support students in developing their unique artistic voices. You'll leave with practical ideas and lesson plans that can be immediately implemented in your classroom.
The $15 registration fee includes both workshops, breakfast and a boxed lunch. All supplies are provided.

Teachers who work with youth in grades PK–12 in all capacities are invited to participate in ongoing professional development workshops, open houses and summer institutes connected to object-based teaching, interdisciplinary learning, creative expression, critical thinking, intersections of art and technology, design-thinking and writing inspired by contemporary art.
