Fall Break

LOOKING BACK:

2017 Fall Arts Camps

Thank you to all who helped and participated in our 2017 Fall Arts Camp! Did you enjoy camp? Want to make more art? Join us every second Saturday for our FREE Make + Take!

Grades K-1| Hip Hop Hooray!

Instructor: Leslie Hensley

This camp was too legit to quit! Little artists brought back the past with artwork, dance and fashion basic on 80's hip hop. Campers created original works of art with paint, cardboard, fabric and more that was straight outta art camp!

Grades 2-4 | Street Rhythm and Dance

Instructor: Angel Little

Get down and rock the floor because this is street R&D! This camp taught a variety of street-dance basics as well as team building, self-expression, reflection, and self-discipline. Together with their crew, campers showed the world what they're made of!

Grades 5-6 | Graffiti Animation

Instructor: Nicole Emmons-Willis

Inspired by our current exhibition, Not For Sale: Graffiti Culture in Oklahoma, this camp used paint, pastels, markers and other marking tools to create a giant animated mural of themselves dancing to hip hop music. We also spent some time viewing and discussing work by established animation artists, and brought that inspiration and influence into our final project.
