Beth CreMeens has been involved in organizing exhibitions and examining fine art in the private and nonprofit field since 2013. As registrar, Beth oversees the care, documentation and maintenance of artwork on exhibition at Oklahoma Contemporary.
Prior to joining Oklahoma Contemporary, Beth served as registrar at the Art Museum of South Texas, where she managed the museum’s permanent collection along with a robust schedule of exhibitions and four off-site galleries. Before that, Beth oversaw daily care for the Tia Collection, a private art collection in Santa Fe, N.M., where she worked with both national and international institutions. She also has experience in curatorial and education roles, at the Dallas Museum of Art and the Meadows Museum respectively.
Born and raised in Dallas, Beth earned her Bachelor of Fine Art at Southern Methodist University. She then graduated from Tufts University’s dual program, where she earned her Master of Fine Art and Museum Studies while she continued to intern in museums. Her research on textile relics and identity in illustrated manuscripts of 12th century Northern England and on modern Armenian iconoclasm have been published in academic journals.
When she isn’t focusing on exhibitions, Beth likes to spend time with her friends and family, which includes a very spoiled cat, Hildegard.
