Although Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center was forced last month to delay the grand opening of its new $30 million home due to the coronavirus pandemic, the nonprofit multidisciplinary arts center is continuing to celebrate the arts.
In honor of National Poetry Month, Oklahoma Contemporary is celebrating the art of poetry in April. The center will be connecting its audiences to work by living poets, collaborating with Oklahoma poet Quraysh Ali Lansana to create a crowd-sourced poem, providing insight into a poet’s creative process and sharing fun, poetry-inspired art activities.
