It’s spring break this week for a lot of metro schools. Between the sunshine and different camps, there are plenty of activities for students.
At Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center, spring breakers are making 3D pirate ships out of cardboard, glue and scratch pieces of paper.
"In here, they can go wild with their creativity and work in lots of different mediums," said Christine Gibson, the center's education coordinator.
Kids can also focus on different mediums at the center, like creative writing and game making.
"We want to plant that seed for the love of contemporary art and art-making, so hopefully, it grows throughout their life," said Gibson.
