ArtNow: The Soul is a Wanderer

The Soul is a Wanderer is the latest iteration of Oklahoma Contemporary’s biennial ArtNow exhibition, featuring recent art from Oklahoma. This version brings together approximately 15 artists working across the state in painting, sculpture, video, performance, photography and ceramics.

Eva Schlegel: Multiple Voices

Multiple Voices is the first public artwork in the United States by Eva Schlegel. Inspired by the arts center's new building and the special quality of light in Oklahoma City, Schlegel developed a striking metal sculpture involving tempered glass and “shelves” etched with blurred texts.

Eduardo Sarabia: Green Vines

Eduardo Sarabia collaborated with Oklahoma City mural artist TANK to transform the surfaces of this building using his signature vine imagery. The vines come from Sarabia’s memory of his childhood neighborhood in Los Angeles, where people decorated the facades of their houses with floral motifs.

Descendants of the Black 1000: Flight from Oklahoma Black Towns to Canada
