With more than 16 years of business leadership experience, Matt Cordray joined Oklahoma Contemporary in 2017 to assist with the organization’s expansion to its new arts campus in downtown Oklahoma City. Matt’s experience in process improvement, project management and business deployment will contribute to ensuring that Oklahoma Contemporary is the region’s premier facility for artistic expression.
Prior to joining Oklahoma Contemporary, Matt served as chief operating officer for HeartLine, Inc., a nonprofit that specializes in providing 24-hour crisis intervention services; mental health, substance abuse and social service referrals; and public healthcare education and school-based mental health awareness training. While with the organization, Matt led initiatives with the University of California San Diego and the University of Oklahoma that brought national attention to new forms of collecting and the benefits of approved data sharing for institutional research and analysis.
Matt is a highly sought speaker and national workshop facilitator on topics such as nonprofit business development, leadership and data management. He has previously served as a board member and officer for the Oklahoma Alliance of Information and Referral Systems. Matt received his bachelor’s degree in business from Southern Nazarene University.
When not at work, Matt enjoys hosting friends, relaxing in the pool and offering his resources to community organizations and locally owned businesses.
